Inner Light Ministries is an interfaith non-denominational organization formed in 1993 under the direction of Bishop Kwabena Rainey Cheeks, D.D.  We are a Christ centered community.  We come together to celebrate love of Christ for all people.  We know through the power of love that we can change our lives and our communities.

We affirm God’s unconditional acceptance and universal Law of Love.  God’s Law of Love mandates:  Love for God, Love for one’s self, and Love for One’s neighbor.  It is impossible to love God and each other without mutually respecting each other’s humanity.  This is a healing ministry for our body, mind, and spirit.  We believe that God is spirit and we must worship God in spirit and in truth.  We strive to live our lives to reflect this truth every day.

We study the spiritual laws and metaphysical principles that Christ taught to gain knowledge and to learn how to apply this knowledge in our daily life to become Christ.  It is through the application of these principles that we seek to grow and create a healthy spiritual community.  We know that each person is on a road to enlightenment and we are all at different stages of transformation to becoming Christ.  To do this, each person must take full responsibility for their own growth. 

We come from many different backgrounds and we proudly celebrate our diversity in a spiritually uplifting service in the African-American tradition.
